WHERE AND HOW CAN I ASK FOR HELP?

We offer our services at our counselling centre in Prague and at two branches based in Brno and Kladno.

We also offer field counselling, phone counselling and on-line counselling. For more information, click on the individual cities.

THE JUSTINE COUNSELLING CENTRE IS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND OFFERS ITS SERVICES FREE OF CHARGE.

BEFORE CONTACTING US FOR THE FIRST TIME, PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS:

  • prepare all available documents (interrogation protocols, medical reports, photographs, text messages, e-mails etc.) and either bring them with you to the meeting, or, if contacting us by phone, have them at hand;
  • think about possible witnesses;
  • think about whether you want to involve the media. This can help, but can also bring unwanted publicity.

HOW COUNSELLING WORKS

  • If using our phone counselling service, you will talk to a field worker with special training, who will talk the situation over with you and – with your permission only – contact the police if you are in immediate danger.
  • Personal counselling takes place in our counselling centre or in your home (the choice is yours).
  • Our representative will talk the situation over with you and will inform you of your rights. He or she will listen to your needs and requests and then, together, you will plan your next move.
  • Every step of the process is based on your decision only.
